Yes Laurie, I love this city.
I was born in Athens, and decided after many years to return to Athens. I do critisize her, but constructively as every active citizen has the right to do. And I always had a disdain for negativity and distructive critisism since I find it fruitless, and useless.
If I had the power, I would make 3 cities sister cities, listed in Alphabetical order (the three cities that loved me, embraced me in their own way, and made me who I am):
Athens
Monterrey Nuevo Leon Mexico
Montreal, Quebec
(Notice that Monterrey and Montreal mean the same thing….Mountain of Royalty , or King’s Mountain…one of course in Spanish and the other one in French)
