Parthenon in Tennessee
In Travel on December 8, 2007 at 3:34 pm
Just as a reminder (to those studying political science and foreign policy, in Greece) there is a copy of the Parthenon in Tennessee.

The interior also contains a copy of Athena Nike:

There’s also an inscription( “…an homage to that great people which inspired our young nation…”)outlining the motivation behind this endeavour that is, the fact that amongst other things Athenian democracy served as one of the models for the present day American Democracy.
Lest we all forget.
Fanatastic, isn’t it. Who would have thought they would have built one in Nashville. Of course the best part of the real Parthenon is in…London.
