About Aldo Remo Pedrini Escobar:
April 6, 2008
If you ever find yourself in downtown Saltillo (Saltillo is the capital of the Great State of Coahuila Mexico) do drop by the homeopathic shop of Doctor Aldo Pedrini Escobar.
Aldo is a rare breed.
A renaissance man (of Italian – English descent who was born and raised in Chile) who started his career as a mariner, toured the world and became acquainted with the ancient crafts and old ways, and after achieving a Ph.D. in homeopathic medicine from the university of Alabama, ended up opening shop in Saltillo Mexico.
In one of our Tuesday night dinners at VIPS café in Saltillo (next to El Coppel in el centro) Aldo said something that I will always remember:
“ Life is a bus ride. You enter the bus and take a seat. While you are headed towards your destination various people come and sit next to you. One by one they get off when they reach their stop, and finally you reach yours and you step off”.
Life is indeed an Odyssey, and perhaps once you do reach your goal, it may not have been what you expected.
But the experience of getting there (including the people one meets) will certainly always be worth it.
