Whatever you do, did you ever think what you’re gonna be remembered for?
Take Efialtis. He became famous for all eternity. I mean, in Greek , his name means “nightmare” !
Or are you gonna be remembered as the big boss man that came down, ran a
company, and when you left there was nothing left but rubble?
Or are you gonna be remembered as the guy that managed a unit, which flourished under your direction, in the most difficult of times, and then when someone else (like a Porgie) took it, it just dried up and blew away?
Or are you gonna be remembered as the guy that was hired to go around with a moped and collect unpaid bills, then through some good fortune and help from someone that felt sorry for you, you took over the accounts of the company, and then after some further good fortune, or misfortune, you took over the company but knowing nothing about companies (and everything about everything else; a jack of all trades and master of none, except your pocketbook) you shut the place down, returned to your farm and became a pig farmer?
Oh that’s ok, Nikita Krushev was also a pig farmer turned general secretary. Of course his policies secured the eventual fate of the respective union, as your policies put the final nail on the coffin of task at hand.

What legacy are ya gonna leave behind? What are ya gonna be remembered fer?
Who’s gonna remember you? The unemployment line, or the hall of fame for succesful strategists?
Are you gonna be remembered as an Efialtis?
Or a Leonidas?
Tell the Spartans,Oh Stranger passing by,
that here, in obedience to their laws, We lie.
